A JOURNAL FOR THE LOCAL AND THE THOUGHTFUL.

Bibliotheke Post is a space for locals to connect offline with literature, art, and ideas. Through curated stories and a community rooted in place, we invite you to slow down, pay attention, and discover the (real) world around you.

We are primarily based in Bangkok.

Tired of doomscrolling?

Everything is optimized, monetized, and designed to keep us scrolling. Social media turns us into detached spectators, watching life unfold in curated snippets rather than living it. Algorithms dictate what we see, what we do, and where we go next, reducing everything to fleeting trends. The spaces that once brought us peace and joy - books, in-person community, discovery - are fading away.

This is why we created Bibliotheke Post - a print-first journal for those who crave a slower, more intentional way of living. A space for thoughtful locals who find meaning in books, art, and the real world around them. We celebrate quiet discoveries, deep reading, and the kind of stories that don’t fit neatly into an algorithm.

If you’ve ever longed to step outside the rush - to read, think, and create at your own pace - then welcome. You’ve found your people.

Our Journal.

We offer a literary and creative experience that goes beyond flipping through pages - it’s about slowing down, engaging deeply, and reconnecting with the world around you. Here’s what you can expect:

A Thematic Approach – Each issue revolves around a central theme - such as “Finding joy in the ordinary” or “Sense of Renewal” - shaping all content, from our curated reading lists, to interviews, and even recommendations for places to visit.

Meaningful Reads, Not Trends – We highlight timeless, thought-provoking books, movies and essays that stay with you long after the last page.

A Local Lens – Discover hidden reading nooks, artists, authors, and the spaces that bring your city to life.

A Community That Lives Intentionally – Through the pages of our journal, you’ll find like-minded locals who value slow, thoughtful living - who believe that life isn’t online but right around the corner.

A Print-First Experience – No distractions, no doomscrolling - just real pages, real stories, and real connection.

Editors’ Note

Bibliotheke Post was founded by a group of passionate readers, writers, and creatives who believe in slowing down and savoring the world around us. Inspired by literary journals, artist zines, and the joy of real conversation, we wanted to create something that feels timeless and real - something that lives beyond the screen.
